33.0 Signs of a Poor Engagement

33.1 What is "Signs of a Poor Engagement"?
We all desire a healthy engagement in any type of relationship - family, personal, neighbourhood, social, work, etc. However, there are times when an engagement goes awry. It is necessary for us to understand and be mindful of these signs signalling the poor engagement, and counteracting them for improving our level of engagement.

33.2 Signs of a Poor Engagement
33.2.1 Non-mutual Goals
You may be communicating along in the process, but without a mutual goal, you may not get the result you desire. To remedy this, periodically question all individuals why do they perform their responsibilities.
33.2.2 Poor Introduction
You are meeting a new person, but your member is introducing you in a seemingly not well fashion. The poor introduction can be expressed verbally or non-verbally. To remedy this, both members need to have a sense of acceptance and understanding towards one another.
33.2.3 One Way Communication
Be it your peer, your superior or even your subordinate, be mindful of one-way communication. One-way communication signals non-disclosure and non-trustworthy. Communication that sparks interest and curiosity remedies the one-way communication.
33.2.4 Not Updated/ Informed
When there comes important updates, you are not informed. Get yourself in the circle, and you will be informed.
33.2.5 Destructive Conversation
Whenever you engage in conversing or arguing over a subject, it quickly goes down destructively without any effort to reconcile the conversation constructively. Redirect the conversation by having everyone's opinions into mutual understanding.
33.2.6 Backbite/ Slander
Backbite/ slander reflects many negative signs which few are dissatisfaction, untrustworthiness, dishonesty and competition. Respond to people slandering on you with providing clarification. Otherwise when that is not achievable, best to leave it out.

All remedies given are examples. There are other remedies available. Experiment them to your situation to best remedy a poor engagement.
