2.3 Understanding Our Position in Uttering the Remembrances
Do we know our current position in remembering Allah s.w.t. (glorified and exalted be He) in our daily life? Do we have the intention, can we utter them, and are we capable in putting them into action? In continuing the previous discussion, we will now look into our position in uttering the remembrances basing on the three cores.
The first stage, first of all, is our intention. Do we have the intention in uttering the words? If so, alhamdulillah, and if not, insya'Allah, we will be instilled the intention by Allah s.w.t. provided we place sufficient effort into practicing the words. Subject to the examples given as per the previous discussion, for example uttering "Bismillah" beforehand any activity to be done, we should be wary on the insight of our mind. That is to say, in simplified sentence, say it in our mind. This applies to all stages of practitioners, be it we are new in uttering it or even a veteran.
2.3.2 Speech in Uttering
The second stage to be discussed is including the utterable remembrances into our speech. Easy as it sounds, still, we are unable to utter it. Why? Ponder back to the core - first stage - of speech and action, our intention. Once we have uttered the remembrances in our mind, it is a step lighter to utter it. Let's look at this stage analytically. A day comprises of 24 counts in hours, or 1,440 counts in minutes, or 86,400 counts in seconds. A word of remembrance takes only a second at minimum or five seconds at maximum dependable to the length of remembrance. Now, having gained knowledge of the gravity of uttering the remembrances, it, in fact, is very light to our lips and tongue to include them into our daily life speech. Eventhough, it deems light in this world, but its gravity in akhira (afterlife) is enormously unknown, wallahhu'alam. Subhanallah.
2.3.3 Action in Uttering
The third stage, last but none the less, is practicing the remembrances into our actions. Surely, this comes to mind - How can we put words into action? The answer to that is because we do not understand their definitions. Let's take two utterable remembrances - insya'Allah and masha'Allah - for instances. (1) Insya'Allah, to begin with, means if Allah wills. All ideas or projects are taken into effect when there exists the element of effort. Repeat the word - EFFORT. Looking into it deeper for a much more in-depth understanding, a traveler wishes to move from point A to point B. What is the effort needed? He/ she needs to walk, cycle, drive, fly, or by any other means of transportation available. The effort here is his/ her steps taken to reach the destination. How "insya'Allah" works in this situation? The traveler may have said "insya'Allah, we will rendezvous for the meeting at 1100 hours local at the airport.", but events of delay, punctual, or early arrival is in accordance to the will of Allah s.w.t.. (2) Masha'Allah, another example, is defined as whatever Allah wills. Let's take this dialogue - "masha'Allah, such a clean and beautiful country." - into the discussion. Acknowledging the cleanliness of the country, undoubtedly a rule or two are instilled into the mentality of its citizens in living their lives in a clean environment for the country to be clean and beautiful. The word "masha'Allah" applies to the mentality of the citizens for if Allah s.w.t. wills the country can be even the otherwise of its beauty and clean state.
